PhoneMatrix compares smartphone specifications, prices and video reviews. This page explains what information is collected from visitors to this site, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

Information We Collect

PhoneMatrix does not require visitors to create an account, and does not collect names, postal addresses or payment details — purchases linked from this site are completed on Amazon, not here. The information collected falls into two categories:

• Usage data, collected automatically via Google Analytics: pages visited, approximate location (derived from IP address), device/browser type, referring site, and time spent on a page.
• Essential session data: every visitor's browser is issued a session cookie (pm_session) used to keep the site's built-in security protections (such as CSRF form validation) working correctly. This cookie does not identify you personally and is not used for tracking or advertising.

Cookies

This site uses a small number of cookies:

• pm_session — first-party, essential, described above.
• Google Analytics cookies — first- and third-party, used to measure traffic and how visitors use the site. See Google's cookie policy for details.
• YouTube — comparison pages embed the site's own comparison videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) mode, which limits cookie use until you interact with the player. Once you play an embedded video, YouTube/Google may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking the essential session cookie may cause some forms on this site to stop working correctly; blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to browse the site.
